I grew up in the small town of Houston, MS. After graduating from Houston High School, I attended Millsaps College. My major was Biology, until I took my first Elementary Education course. I fell in love with teaching so much that I changed my major from Biology to Elementary Education. I successfully gradauted from Millsaps College with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I went on to obtain both a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and a Specialist's Degree in Ed. Leadership from Mississippi College. My first job was in Lexington, Mississippi. After six years at this location, I transitioned to Spann Elementary and taught there for an additional six years. After leaving Spann, I became a Pirate. I have been a gifted teacher at PU for 5 years. I am now beginning my 17th year of teaching.
In my spare time, I like to swim, exercise, and play my PS4. I have a bit of a sweet tooth for cookies and cakes. I have a 3 year old Yorkie named Mia.
I continue to look forward to estabshing wholesome and postive relationships with community members, parents, faculty members, and most importantly the students! Thanks for entrusting me with your child's education!
