Asking questions such as who, what, where, when, and how as students read, helps them to comprehend what is happening in the story. Also, being able to identify what is happening in the beginning, middle, and end, will help students to be able to understand story structure and will ultimately help students to be able to retell stories and answer comprehension questions!
