Hello everyone. My name is Julie Thornton and I am your Pearl Upper Elementary School Nurse. I also serve as the Head Nurse for our school district. I started my nursing career in 2004, and have been the nurse here at Upper since 2013. Prior to becoming a School Nurse, I worked as an Emergency Room Nurse and the Trauma Care Coordinator for a local hospital. I live here in Pearl with my husband Dwayne, two kids Amy and Brady, and our dog Sonny.

My goal as your School Nurse is to support education by promoting the health and wellness of our students so that they may have every opportunity to achieve academic success. I will do my best to keep our students at school and in the classroom learning. I hope you find this page helpful in handling your child's healthcare needs at school.
